Mechanical Services Technician – Plumber, Gas Engineer, Pipe Fitter
An exciting position has become available for a full-time Mechanical Services Technician based at Oxford Brookes University.
This is a full time post which is 37 hours, typically Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm, but Oxford Brookes is supportive of flexible working, part time working and job sharing. Applicants who would like to have a working arrangement like this are encouraged to apply for this post.

Mechanical Services Technician Role Responsibilities
- To carry out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical services across the University’s Estate, including maintenance of service records, maintenance schedules and Service Desk PPM’s.
Mechanical Services Technician Role Requirements
- A recognised apprenticeship in mechanical/ HVAC services, City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3, ACS for CCN1, COCN1 or equivalent qualifications.
- Significant post-apprenticeship operational experience in mechanical services.
